Service in Germany
In the spring of 1967 a small contingent of signalman from Ft. Huachuca, Arizona went to Germany to test radio equipment that was in storage. The US Army had huge amounts of equipment storage for use in the case of an invasion by the Soviet Union and its allies. The purpose of our mission was to take radio equipment (TRC-90 Microwave Station) out of storage, set up and simulate radio traffic between two locations. We set up at one location and tested for a few days and then moved to another location for a longer period of time. After the final test was performed we put the equipment back in storage and returned to the States. The test included setting up the radio equipment and mobile antennas. Unfortunately, most of my photographs have been lost.
